"Maxitech must be congratulated on adopting a proactive approach to the WEEE directive and in providing training and employment opportunities in this field for unemployed people from disadvantaged backgrounds. Facilities like Maxitech will be key to fulfilling the UK’s obligations under the WEEE directive to reuse, treat and recycle waste electrical equipment."
Margaret Beckett MP
Secretary of State for the Environment

The work undertaken at Maxitech.biz is helping fulfill an essential need for society today. It is no longer acceptable to dump electronic equipment when it is replaced by newer items. A service which can take those items and turn them into opportunities for training of unemployed and a resource for disadvantaged people is of great benefit. Maxitech.biz earns its success. It will be increasingly appreciated by those it serves.

The Rt. Hon.
The Lord Dixon-Smith

Shadow Minister of Environment

LMAS is delighted to be working with them on an expanded service, providing yet more support for the local community. We need more companies like Maxitech in London." Colin Allaway

Maxitech's key business breakthrough is that we have proven that an ethical, socially responsible and environmentally friendly business can be a successful and sustainable business model.

There are two main principles which we strictly adhere to that make us different from other asset recovery companies -

Commitment to Social Inclusion and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)

Maxitech.biz has won several awards including, Business in the Community (BITC) positive impact on the society Big Tick Award, City Growth Best Corporate Social Responsibility firm Award, The Edge Employer Award for training of young disadvantaged people, The Good Director Honors from the Institute of Director for Skills Development and Education to name just a few. Age Concern London and Maxitech launched Computers for Older People initiative that aims to improve older people’s lives though access to IT via Age Concern Centers that are receiving refurbished computers.
Maxitech is a member of The Community Microsoft Authorised Refurbisher (Community MAR) programme. Part of Microsoft's Partners in Learning and Unlimited Potential initiatives. The Community MAR programme enables Maxitech to provide Microsoft software on refurbished computers to eligible recipients. Maxitech in partnership The Community Microsoft Authorised Refurbisher programme facilitates donations to UK based Charitable, educational and community organizations on behalf of our clients, benefiting our clients CSR and Environmental efforts.
Maxitech is also a partner in Digital-Pipe project from Microsoft facilitating deployment of computers specifically into UK disadvantaged communities on behalf of Digital-Pipe member companies.
Commitment to Environmental Stewardship

Our policy ensures that everything we process is dealt with environmentally. No harmful components are sent to landfill, and no harmful waste is sent overseas for dumping.
Additionally, through our ongoing research and development efforts with partner organizations, we are also realizing the vision of creating secondary products from otherwise harmful electrical and electronic components and discovering new methods of reclaiming useful materials from e-waste.
Re-use provides more environmental benefit than recycling as it requires less energy to be used therefore reducing carbon emissions. In addition, this benefits the environment by helping to keep serviceable computers out of landfills. Also though our work we have established that 1 in 3 companies can generate positive financial returns from their redundant IT by re-using it via Maxitech.
Maxitech.biz is registered with the UK Environment Agency and also holds BS EN ISO 14001:2004 for environmental programme and 0% landfill policy and BS EN ISO 9001:2000 certification for the efficiency of service and security policy. We work with other authorized specialist recycling companies who also adhere to highest available standards and hold ISO 14001 registrations.
